As a part of our commitment to widening access to the leading behavioral healthcare services we provide at our treatment center in Austin, Texas, we have added telehealth services that allow you or a loved one to receive care from the location you find the most safe and comfortable.
Telehealth involves using technology to connect a healthcare provider to a patient so they can discuss that patient’s healthcare needs. This virtual communication may take place over the phone or through video chat, like Skype or FaceTime, on a smartphone, laptop, or computer.
At Cross Creek Hospital, we offer several telehealth solutions, including telehealth assessments, telehealth programming, and televisitation. There are countless benefits of telehealth that help patients get the professional treatment they need to start healing from the mental health concerns that have disrupted their lives. Telehealth offers added convenience, flexibility, and breaks down the barriers to professional care.
Telehealth Assessments
Telehealth assessment process at Cross Creek Hospital in Austin, TX
Completing a detailed assessment is one of the first steps to getting the holistic, evidence-based care you need to start living your very best life. The expert team at Cross Creek Hospital uses the assessment process to gather information about you to understand what kind of care you need to experience the most beneficial outcome possible.
When an in-person assessment at our treatment center in Austin, Texas, just isn’t possible, we offer telehealth assessments that you can complete from the location that is most suitable to you. This is what you can expect from the tele-assessment process:
- One of our team members is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to conduct your virtual assessment, which will take place over the phone or through video chat.
- During the phone or video assessment process, our team member will ask you several questions, such as what symptoms you’ve been struggling with, your medical history, and what you hope to gain from treatment.
If you have any questions related to your care, such as what to expect during treatment or what the recovery experience is like, you are welcome to ask them during this time. - Once you complete the tele-assessment process, our team member will recommend the type and level of care that best meets your specific needs.
Our goal is to ensure that you or your loved one receives care that is right for you, regardless of whether that is at Cross Creek Hospital or another facility. If we believe that Cross Creek Hospital is the perfect fit for your unique situation, we will begin the admission process. But if we feel another facility would be a better fit for you, we can make the appropriate referral.
Telehealth Programming
Telehealth programming at Cross Creek Hospital in Austin, TX
At Cross Creek Hospital, we offer an intensive outpatient program (IOP) and a partial hospitalization program (PHP) for adolescents ages 11-17 and adults age 18 older who have a primary mental health or Chemical Dependency concern. This robust continuum of care allows us to meet our patients where they are in their healing journeys so we can best help them get on a path toward long-term wellness.
To make it possible for even more patients to receive professional care from our multidisciplinary team of experts, we offer telehealth therapy for those who are unable to travel to our Austin-based treatment center to participate in our IOP or PHP.
We use a teleconferencing service so you can see and hear your IOP or PHP treatment team and the other group participants while you engage in therapeutic services. This ensures you or someone you love can continue to get the care you need — even if coming to Cross Creek Hospital is not currently an option.
If you have any questions about the tele-assessment, or telehealth programming at Cross Creek Hospital, please contact us at your convenience. A caring and compassionate member of our team can answer any questions you might have about the telehealth solutions we offer.
